POSITION 2: ESTATE PROJECTS MANAGEROrg Unit: Projects & RDOReporting to: Capital Program ManagerLocation: Nchalo EstateJob Category: PermanentJob Grade: Senior ManagementJOB TYPE: Full TimeKEY REQUIREMENTSJob Requirements:Bachelor's degree (BSc) in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Industrial), a post graduate education in Project Management with a PMP certification and Professional registration with relevant bodies in Malawi.Minimum 10 years of experience in project management and delivery of capital projects, including 5+ years in leadership capacity.Experience in technical oversight, engineering assurance, or similar in a manufacturing or industrial environment.Strong familiarity with governance processes, capital budgeting, project controls, and risk management frameworks.Good business acumen, with ability to anticipate, interpret and respond to changes impacting on projects.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESLead the Estate Projects function and support the Capital Programme Manager in the successful delivery of capital projects, ensuring projects are executed safely, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.Collaborate closely with the Capital Programme Manager to plan, execute, monitor, and deliver assigned capital projects, ensuring alignment with programme objectives, governance requirements, budgets, schedules, and performance targets.Lead and supervise Project Engineers, Foremen, contractors, and technical teams, ensuring effective deployment of resources and achievement of project objectives.Collaborate closely with the Capital Programme Manager, Head of Projects & RDO and Site Management to monitor project performance, manage risks, and facilitate timely decision-making to achieve project and portfolio objectives.Monitor project performance against approved baselines and, in collaboration with the Capital Programme Manager, implement corrective actions to address deviations in cost, schedule, quality, safety, and productivity.Implement project resourcing and deployment decisions for Project Engineers and Foremen as approved by the Capital Programme Manager, Projects & RDO lead, ensuring full alignment with estate priorities and capital governance requirements.Promote and adhere to Illovo's procedures, policies and guidelines, including, without limitation, those relating to SHERQ, Competition Law and Anti-Bribery and Corruption (ABC).Please send your application letters together with detailed CV with copies of relevant certificates, traceable referees and National ID to:The HR Mill HeadIllovo Sugar (Malawi) PlcPrivate Bag 50BlantyreOr through email: nchalohr@illovo.co.zaOnly shortlisted candidates will be acknowledged.
