Company: Northern Electrical Projects (NEP) Location: Bellville, Cape Town Reports to: Operations Manager Qualifications and skills: Suitable candidates must possess the following minimum qualifications and skills: Grade 12.Qualified electrician red seal/trade test and wireman’s licenseStrong verbal and written communication skills.Deadline driven.Excellent interpersonal skills.Detail oriented.Highly motivated individual with strong self-management skills.High level of trustworthiness and ethical conduct.The daily physical demands are those required of an electrical assistant.The candidate must be physically fit.The person will be required to travel to sites.The work environment characteristics are those encountered in a typical environment.Essential duties and responsibilities: The successful candidate’s responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Diagnose, repair, and maintain complex electrical systems, including high-voltage equipment.Pulling in of large cables and termination of cablesOversee installation of electrical infrastructure for new builds, upgrades, and expansions.Conduct inspections, testing, and certification of electrical systemsEnsure compliance with national electrical codes, occupational health and safety standards, and company policies.Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, and certifications.Lead risk assessments and implement corrective actions.Advise management on electrical infrastructure planning and upgrades.Support energy efficiency initiatives and sustainability projects.Provide input into budgets, procurement, and resource allocation for electrical works.Ensure adherence to safety protocolsThis job specification outlines the main duties of the role and is not an exhaustive list.
