## Job Description

Highbury Media (Pty) Ltd T/A Habari Media is a media powerhouse whose world-class titles connect brands to targeted audiences.

We are seeking an editorial intern based in Cape Town, currently unemployed, and looking to gain workplace experience to join our dynamic Food & Home editorial team. 
The role focuses primarily on digital content but may also involve work across print platforms depending on the publication.

Key responsibilitiesGenerate story ideas Write and/or assist with articles across relevant content pillarsAssist with fact-checking and general editorial supportSupport editors with day-to-day editorial tasksStay up to date with current affairs and industry trendsAssist with social media content creation and managementAttend events when required and produce related contentAssist with administrative and content scheduling tasks where relevant RequirementsTertiary qualification in English, journalism, media studies, or related fieldStrong writing, spelling, grammar, and copy-editing skillsProficiency in Mac operating systems (advantageous)Familiarity with WordPress CMS (advantageous)Strong organisational skills and ability to work under deadline pressureWillingness to work overtime when requiredFamiliarity with major social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, X/Twitter, TikTok; Pinterest/LinkedIn)
