### Qualifications and Minimum Requirements

- Bachelor’s Degree or relevant Advanced Diploma in Early Years Education

- Minimum three years’ relevant Early Years teaching experience

- Demonstrated understanding of child-led and play-based instructional approaches

- Strong understanding of child development and diverse learning needs

- Strong classroom management and differentiation skills

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

- Reflective, innovative, and adaptable approach to teaching

- Commitment to continuous professional growth and sustainability

- Strong alignment with Woodland Star’s mission and values

- International or multicultural experience preferred

- Valid TSC Number for Kenyan applicants

- Current police clearance/background check

- Certified copies of academic and professional documents

- At least two professional references

### Key Responsibilities

- Implement engaging, child-centred, and play-based learning experiences

- Create a safe, inclusive, stimulating, and nurturing classroom environment

- Support children in developing confidence, independence, communication, and social skills

- Observe learners closely and use assessment information to understand their development and inform teaching

- Differentiate learning experiences to respond to individual needs, interests, and developmental stages

- Collaborate with colleagues to plan curriculum, support learners, and engage in professional learning

- Work closely with parents and families to support children’s development and well-being

- Communicate effectively with learners, families, colleagues, and the wider school community

- Contribute to a positive classroom culture that encourages curiosity, creativity, exploration, and collaboration

- Uphold Woodland Star’s educational standards, mission, values, and Behaviour Code

- Participate in school events, projects, and community initiatives

- Engage in continuous professional development and reflective teaching practice
