## Job Description

As a driver and under the supervision of the Administrative Associate, you will support programme delivery and business continuity by providing safe, reliable, and efficient transportation services, including staff mobility, field missions, emergency response efforts, and the secure movement of operational resources across the Malawi Country Office.In this role you will be responsible for maintaining vehicle readiness, ensuring compliance with transport, safety and security standards, completing accurate trip and vehicle documentation, and supporting routine administrative and operational functions. The role requires professionalism, integrity, discretion, courtesy, and strong client orientation when engaging with staff, government counterparts, partners, and visitors. Through effective fleet management and operational support, you will contribute to UNICEF’s ability to reach vulnerable communities and deliver results for children and women in Malawi.UNICEF Malawi is seeking highly motivated Drivers to play a critical role in enabling programme delivery by providing safe, reliable, and efficient transportation services.If you would like to know more about this position, please review the complete Job Description here: Download File Driver G-2 Role.pdfTo qualify as an advocate for every child you will have… Minimum requirements: Education: Secondary education is required, along with a valid driver’s license and knowledge of local driving rules and regulations.Work Experience: At least two (2) years of work experience as a driver in an international organization, embassy or UN system with a safe driving record is required.Skills: Demonstrated skills in vehicle maintenance, trip documentation, client service, and emergency response are required.Language Requirements: Fluency in English is required. Desirables: Knowledge of a local language (e.g. Chichewa, Chiyao, Chitumbuka) or an official UN language is an asset.Experience supporting field missions, emergency response operations or rapid deployments is desirable.Experience with digital fleet tracking, vehicle booking or trip management systems is desirable.Experience using radio communication or mobile devices during field movements is an asset.Experience providing administrative or operational support is desirable.Familiarity with UNICEF values, ethics, confidentiality and safety standards is desirable.Experience within UNICEF or the broader UN system is desirable.Relevant experience at country level, particularly in development, fragile settings and humanitarian contexts. For every Child, you demonstrate… UNICEF’s Core Values of Care, Respect, Integrity, Trust and Accountability and Sustainability (CRITAS) underpin everything we do and how we do it.
