Position Overview
Depot Clerk As a Depot Clerk reporting directly to the Sales and Distribution Supervisor, you will play a key role in supporting depot operations, managing inventory, providing excellent customer service, and overseeing distribution activities. Your efforts will ensure efficient stock control and accurate record keeping, contributing to the smooth running of the depot and overall sales performance.
Key Responsibilities
for Depot Clerk Jobs in Kalumbila and Surrounding Areas Deliver prompt, courteous customer service and professionally handle customer complaints. Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the depot and office areas. Support initiatives to enhance depot sales and operational efficiency. Monitor depot operations and sales performance regularly. Manage inventory control processes including stock receiving, processing, dispatching, and movement. Verify stock quality and quantity upon receipt and conduct daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliations. Reconcile cash deposits against Route Settlement Reports. Control breakages in line with company policies. Prepare accurate operational reports on a daily, monthly, and ad-hoc basis. Coordinate distribution activities to ensure timely product deliveries. Enter accurate data promptly into company systems. Print customer account statements and issue receipts as required. Collaborate with the Sales and Distribution team on issues related to non-paying customers. Maintain proper filing of Accounts Receivable records and Proof of Deliveries (PODs). Assist with stock-taking exercises and other duties assigned by management.
Qualifications
and Experience Required Full Grade 12 Certificate. Certificate or Diploma in Accounting or an equivalent qualification. At least two years of relevant work experience. Computer literacy is essential; knowledge of SAP is an advantage. Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines. Demonstrated honesty, reliability, self-discipline, and strong organizational skills. Essential Competencies Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
