### CHOPPIES – JOB VACANCY

Job Title: Deli Assistant (Take Away) Location: Makeni Bonaventure, Lusaka, Zambia Closing Date: 22 October 2026

### Responsibilities

To provide efficient, quality customer retention and service.

- 

Set up workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment.

- 

Prepare ingredients for cooking, including chopping and peeling vegetables and cutting meat.

- 

Cook food using various utensils or grills.

- 

Check food while cooking and stir or turn as necessary.

- 

Ensure excellent presentation by dressing dishes before they are served.

- 

Keep the kitchen sanitised and orderly.

- 

Ensure all food and other items are stored properly.

- 

Check the quality of ingredients.

- 

Monitor stock and place orders when there are shortages.

### Education and Experience

- 

High school diploma or equivalent.

- 

Food handlers’ certification and food production certification.

- 

1–2 years of experience in a deli.

- 

Basic knowledge of food preparation.

- 

Good communication and problem-solving skills.

- 

Physical fitness and ability to work at heights.

- 

Candidates should be medically fit.

### Skills, Abilities and Requirements

- 

Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment.

- 

Must be able to stay calm and focused.

- 

Interpersonal skills.

- 

Supervisory skills, including the ability to train employees to use time efficiently and maintain high standards of service delivery.

### Additional Requirements

Physical Examination Required: Medical Report and Police Clearance.
