## Job Description

LOCATION: BlantyreKEY RESPONSIBILITIESProvide strategic leadership to the Faculty.Oversee academic programmes and ensure compliance with NCHE standards.Lead curriculum review and programme development.Coordinate teaching, research, and community engagement activities.Mentor and supervise academic staff.Promote research, innovation, and scholarly publications.Manage faculty budgets and resources.Prepare faculty reports and strategic plans.Foster partnerships with stakeholders and professional bodies.QUALIFICATIONS A PhD in Early Childhood Education or Primary Education is preferred.Candidates with a PhD in a closely related education field may also be considered.Registered with the National Council for Higher Education (NCHE) where applicable.At least five (5) years of university or college teaching experience.At least three (3) years of academic leadership experience at Head of Department, Dean, or equivalent level.Demonstrated record of research publications and academic supervision.Experience in curriculum development, quality assurance, and academic administration.COMPETENCIESExcellent leadership and management skills.Strong interpersonal and communication skills.High level of integrity and professionalism.Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.Applications closing on 21 October 2026Method of ApplicationInterested candidates should submit the following:Application letter indicating the position applied for.Detailed Curriculum Vitae with three traceable referees.Certified copies of academic and professional qualifications.Copy of National Identity Card or valid passport.Copies of relevant professional registrations where applicable.Applications should be clearly marked with the position being applied for and sent to:Email: recruitment@mce.ac.mw with a copy to registrar@mce.ac.mwClosing date: 21 October 2026Montessori College of EducationP.O.
