We are seeking a highly analytical, detail-oriented, and proactive Data Analyst – Membership to join our team and play a key role in managing, analysing, and maintaining the integrity of our membership data.
Duties and Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain accurate member records within the membership management system.
- Analyse membership data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for business growth.
- Produce daily, weekly, monthly, and ad hoc membership reports for management.
- Monitor member registrations, renewals, cancellations, and reinstatements to ensure data accuracy.
- Reconcile membership data with employer schedules, broker submissions, and premium collections.
- Develop dashboards and performance reports to support strategic decision-making.
- Identify data inconsistencies and implement corrective measures to improve data quality.
- Collaborate with the Finance, Claims, Sales, and ICT departments to ensure seamless data integration.
- Support product development and marketing initiatives through data-driven insights.
- Conduct data validation, cleansing, and quality assurance exercises.
- Assist in forecasting membership growth and retention using analytical models.
- Ensure confidentiality and compliance with organizational data governance policies.
- Recommend process improvements that enhance operational efficiency and member experience.

- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, Actuarial Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or membership administration.
- Experience in the medical aid, insurance, banking, or financial services sector will be an added advantage.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced formulas, PivotTables, Power Query, and data modelling.
- Experience with SQL for querying and managing databases.
- Experience working with membership or customer management systems is desirable.Skills and Competencies
