Senior Project Officer - Communications

Job description

Catholic Relief Services (CRS) is recruiting a Senior Project Officer – Communications for its Uganda programme in Kampala. This is a full-time, on-site role open to Ugandan nationals. The officer will work with project teams, local partners and participants to document programme results and create accurate stories, photos, videos, case studies, fact sheets, presentations and donor-facing materials. They will coordinate content calendars, support events and media engagement, and ensure materials meet CRS and donor branding rules. Field visits are part of content gathering.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Public Relations or a related field. At least three years of marketing and communications experience, ideally in development or humanitarian work. Demonstrated ability to produce and share content for different audiences, manage competing priorities, and work with diverse teams and partners. Strong written and spoken English; Luganda or other local languages are desirable. High proficiency in Microsoft Office and desktop publishing tools. Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, graphic design, photo editing and basic social-media video production are desirable. Only Ugandan nationals are eligible.
