Country Director - Ethiopia

Job description

GOAL Global is recruiting a Country Director to lead its Ethiopia programme from Addis Ababa. The role reports to the Regional Director and oversees country strategy, programme quality, operations, finance, people, security, safeguarding, compliance, and partnerships. The director represents GOAL with government, donors, UN agencies, NGOs, and communities, leads the Country Management Team, and develops funding opportunities. Regular travel to programme sites is expected.

Requirements

At least five years as a Country Director, Deputy Country Director, or comparable senior leader in complex humanitarian or development settings. Experience winning large, multi-year grants, managing institutional donor funding and multi-million-euro programme portfolios, leading multidisciplinary and multicultural teams, and working with government and donors. Strong programme, financial, operational, risk, security, and safeguarding leadership; commitment to humanitarian principles. Willingness to travel regularly to programme sites.
