OVERVIEWAstria Learning is building a leading community and knowledge hub for app professionals across Africa. The organisation is seeking a hands-on and experienced Community Manager based in Malawi to grow, manage, and energise its community.The successful candidate will oversee member onboarding and engagement, organise webinars, and build lasting partnerships with influencers and industry experts.JOB TYPE:Full-TimeApplication Deadline: 25 October 2026POSITION: COMMUNITY MANAGERKEY REQUIREMENTSAcademic, Professional Qualifications and Experience:The applicant should possess the following:A Master's Degree in Communications, Public Relations, Business Administration, or a related field.At least seven years of experience in community management, social media management, or a related field.Strong knowledge of the local technology and creator ecosystem.Proven experience working with influencers and organising online events or webinars.Existing networks among app professionals, developers, or digital creators across Africa will be an added advantage.Experience scaling communities to over 100,000 members will be an added advantage.Personal Specification:A self-starter who is comfortable working with growth targets.Ability to use data-driven reporting to monitor performance.Strong community engagement, coordination, and partnership-building skills.DUTIES AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES1. Community ManagementManage the day-to-day activities of the Ecampus HUB community, including moderation, engagement, member support, and content flow.Build and maintain the “Master Community” structure, including sub-groups, channels, and local chapters.Manage member onboarding by creating and maintaining clear application instructions and ensuring a smooth joining experience for new members.2. Growth and PartnershipsCoordinate with influencers and local ambassadors to increase awareness, registrations, and community engagement.Support growth campaigns across Nigeria, Ghana, and Malawi.3. Events and ContentHost regular webinars and community sessions with industry experts.Conduct interviews with app professionals, founders, and community members for content creation and knowledge sharing.Build and curate a library of app professionals across Africa, including their profiles, areas of expertise, and success stories.KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS (KPIs)The successful candidate will be expected to work towards the following targets:Grow the community to 500,000 members within the first six months.Reach 1,000,000 members within the 12-month period.Deliver regular webinars, interviews, and published expert profiles, with specific quarterly targets to be agreed upon.HOW TO APPLYInterested candidates should submit their applications to:Email: peter.bauleni@astrialearning.comApplication Deadline: 25 October 2026
