## Job Description

Media in Cooperation and Transition (MiCT) seeks a freelance Community Manager for its 2026–2027 Fellowship for Critical Voices. This assignment is based in Kampala, Uganda, from November 2026 through June 2027, for up to 120 working days. The manager will coordinate support for up to 20 journalists and media makers, including fellow contracts and stipends; safety, legal and relocation assistance; accommodation and workspace; procurement of training and other services; a community meet-up; and regular coordination with project staff.

## Requirements

Applicants should have project management experience, particularly in media development; established connections in the regional media landscape; strong community management skills; a network of service providers for integration and legal support; and an understanding of Uganda’s media landscape. Knowledge of immigration in Uganda is preferred. MiCT says the candidate should ideally be based in Uganda.
