## Job Description

College Head providing strategic academic and institutional leadership across all campuses, overseeing curriculum implementation, trainer performance and accreditation compliance, requiring a bachelor’s degree in Education, Health Sciences or a related discipline, a recognised teaching qualification and 4-7 years academic management experience, in a TVET college environment, on-site role.

The College Head will provide strategic academic and institutional leadership across MedPrime Training College, ensuring high-quality, compliant, student-centred and market-relevant training across all campuses. The role will oversee curriculum implementation, trainer performance, student academic success, examinations, accreditation compliance, practical/clinical training and continuous academic quality improvement.

### Key Responsibilities

- Provide strategic leadership and oversight of academic programmes across all MedPrime campuses, ensuring consistent academic standards and effective curriculum delivery.

- Ensure implementation and coverage of approved curricula, maintaining high standards of teaching, learning, practical training and learner outcomes.

- Oversee academic planning and resource allocation, including timetabling, trainer deployment, teaching resources, workloads and academic schedules.

- Monitor and manage trainer performance, including attendance, lesson preparation, professional conduct, classroom delivery, coaching, development and performance improvement.

- Oversee competency-based training and assessment, including PoE, assessment evidence, learner progression, examinations, moderation, results and academic records.

- Ensure regulatory and institutional compliance with TVETA, CDACC, KNEC, NITA, CBET and relevant professional bodies, while maintaining continuous inspection and audit readiness.

- Monitor student academic performance, attendance, progression, retention and completion, and lead appropriate academic, disciplinary and welfare interventions.

- Oversee practical, clinical and industrial attachment programmes, including student placement, supervision, documentation and partnerships with relevant institutions and industry stakeholders.

- Conduct academic audits, classroom observations and performance reviews, develop corrective and preventive actions, and drive continuous improvement across campuses.

- Lead academic reporting, stakeholder engagement and institutional development, including academic SOPs, recruitment and development of academic staff, regulatory relationships, management reports and data-driven improvement initiatives.

Qualifications & Experience

- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Health Sciences, Medical/Healthcare-related field or another relevant discipline from a recognized institution.

- Relevant professional qualifications and a recognized teaching/training qualification where applicable.

- Demonstrable understanding of TVET and competency-based education and training (CBET).

- Minimum 4-7 years’ relevant experience in academic/training management.

- Proven experience supervising trainers/lecturers and managing academic teams.

- Experience in examinations, assessment, curriculum implementation and review.

- Experience dealing with accreditation and regulatory requirements.

- Experience in healthcare education or TVET is strongly preferred.

- Remuneration: KSh 45,000 – 65,000 per month, depending on experience, qualifications, and demonstrated suitability, with potential performance-based incentives linked to achievement of agreed sales targets.
