OVERVIEWJCCC Private Clinic is urgently seeking a Clinical Officer to join our team. The clinic is located in Dwangwa, Nkhotakota.Application Deadline: Sunday, 20th September 2026POSITION: CLINICAL OFFICERJOB TYPE: Full TimeKEY REQUIREMENTSRequirements:Applicants must be in possession of Diploma in Clinical Medicine.Must be registered with Medical Council of Malawi.At least 10 years of relevant professional experience in a similar role.Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.Good communicational and interpersonal skills.Applicant must be 30 years of age and above.Retired civil servants are encouraged to apply.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESDiagnosing and treating complex illness, conducting ward rounds, morning reports / handovers and prescribing appropriate medications.Organizing weekly presentations and be able to select special cases for auditing in order to improve patient management.Monitoring junior staff, organizing duty roster and auditing patient file to maintain care standards.Maintains physical assets inventory and performing preventive maintenance to keep medical equipment functional.Verifies patient information by interviewing patient, recording medical history, and confirming purpose of visit.Secures patient information and maintains patient confidentiality, completing medical records; completing diagnostic and procedure coding.Be able to perform routine and emergency clinical interventions, minor surgeries and other procedures.Be able to interpret Laboratory results.Be able to work on call and during odd hours.Competent in handling medical cases and surgical procedures.HOW TO APPLYCover letter and Curriculum Vitae should be sent to:Email: thejoseph@jcccmw.comSuccessful candidate will be expected to start immediately.
