The holder of this post will report to the HOD Nursing in the execution of their duties and will contribute toward meeting the key performance indicators and targets of the department and the overall college & hospital mission and vision. ### Key Responsibilities - Teaching and supervision, direct instruction, and guidance to students in a clinical setting - Support curriculum implementation and aligning clinical experiences with learning objectives. - Participate in organizing and scheduling clinical placements, rotations, evaluate student performance and progress during their clinical placements. - Provide an orientation for students to clinical sites including schedules - Coordinating with relevant officers to initiate MOUs with facilities for clinical placement of nursing students. - Supervision and provision of practical instruction (skills and procedures) for students in the skills lab and the clinical setup - Stocktaking and ensuring all supplies are available for skills practice in the skills laboratory. - Monitor student progress to ensure stated objectives are adequately addressed and met - Conducting formative clinical assessments. - Academic advising of students. - Serve as a role model and mentor for nursing students - Other duties as assigned.
