Ongwediva Medipark Private Hospital is seeking to recruit a competent and suitably qualified Cardiothoracic Surgeon to join our surgical services team and strengthen the delivery of advanced cardiac and thoracic surgical care to patients in the Northern regions of Namibia and beyond. Job Summary

### Key Responsibilities

Perform a comprehensive range of cardiac and thoracic surgical procedures – both open and minimally invasive – including coronary artery bypass grafting, valve surgery, lung and mediastinal surgery, and management of chest trauma. Conduct pre-operative assessments, obtain informed consent and develop individualised surgical plans. Provide post-operative and critical-care management in the ICU and surgical wards. Participate in the on-call roster and provide emergency cover as required. Collaborate with cardiology, anaesthetics, intensive-care, radiology and allied clinical teams to deliver integrated peri-operative care. Contribute to clinical governance, morbidity and mortality reviews, and quality-improvement initiatives (ISO 9001:2015). Participate in the training and mentorship of medical officers and nursing staff. Maintain accurate clinical records in line with HPCNA and hospital standards.

### Requirements

MBChB or equivalent primary medical qualification. Recognised specialist qualification in Cardiothoracic Surgery – FC(CTS)SA, MMed(Cardiothoracic Surgery) or equivalent. Current registration with the Health Professions Council of Namibia (HPCNA) as a specialist Cardiothoracic Surgeon (or eligibility to register). Demonstrable post-specialisation surgical experience, with a proven track record of independent operating. Excellent clinical judgement, technical
