### CHOPPIES – JOB VACANCY

Location: Makeni Bonaventure, Lusaka, Zambia Job Title: Butchery Assistant Closing Date: 22 October 2026

### Responsibilities

To provide efficient, quality customer retention and service.

- 

Assist in cutting, trimming, and packaging meat products.

- 

Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the workspace.

- 

Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards.

- 

Serve customers, weigh and package meat, and provide advice on preparation and cooking.

- 

Make sure work areas are kept clean at all times.

- 

Sharpen and clean knives and operate cutting machinery.

- 

Display produce in windows or cabinets.

- 

Maintain cleanliness in the work area, assist with customer service, and ensure proper labelling and display of meat cuts in the store.

### Education and Experience

- 

High school diploma or equivalent.

- 

Butchery production certification.

- 

1–2 years of experience in butchery production.

- 

Basic knowledge of butchery and food preparation.

- 

Good communication and problem-solving skills.

- 

Physical fitness and ability to work at heights.

- 

Candidates should be medically fit.

### Skills, Abilities and Requirements

- 

Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment.

- 

Must be able to stay calm and focused.

- 

Interpersonal skills.

- 

Supervisory skills, including the ability to train employees to use time efficiently and maintain high standards of service delivery.

### Additional Requirements

Physical Examination Required: Medical Report and Police Clearance.
