# Butchery Assistant Canonical URL: https://primejobalerts.com/jobs/butchery-assistant-3 Company: Choppies Zambia Category: Administration & Office Support Location: Zambia, Lusaka Work type: Full-time Work arrangement: On-site Published: 2026-10-03 Expires: 2026-10-05 ## Job Description ### CHOPPIES JOB VACANCY ### Job Role: Butchery Assistant Location: Silverest, Lusaka ### Responsibilities To provide efficient, quality customer retention and service. - Assist in cutting, trimming, and packaging meat products. - Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workspace. - Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards. - Serve customers; weigh and package meat and give advice on preparation and cooking. - Make sure work areas are kept clean at all times. - Sharpen and clean knives and operate cutting machinery. - Displaying produce in windows or cabinets. - Maintaining cleanliness in the work area, assisting with customer service, and ensuring proper labeling and display of meat cuts in the store. ### Education/Experience - High school diploma or equivalent. - Butchery production certification. - 1–2 yrs of experience in butchery production. - Basic knowledge in butchery food preparation. - Good communication and problem-solving skills. - Physical fitness and ability to work at heights. - Candidate should be medically fit. ### Skills, Abilities, Knowledge, Licenses, Certifications - Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment. - Must be able to stay calm and focused. - Inter-personal skills. - Supervisory skills – ability to train Employees to use time efficiently and to be uncompromising regarding service delivery.
