Our students take the Cambridge International Exams, IGCSE and the AS/A Level Exams.THE POSITION:We are seeking to recruit a highly qualified, experienced, and passionate Business Studies teacher to join our Secondary School team. The successful candidate will deliver engaging, student-centered Business Studies lessons that inspire learners to develop entrepreneurial thinking, financial literacy, and a strong understanding of business concepts. Provident Fund Contribution (Tier 3)KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Plan and deliver high-quality Business Studies lessons in accordance with the Cambridge International Curriculum.Prepare students for Cambridge IGCSE and Cambridge International AS & A Level examinations.Develop schemes of work, lesson plans, assessments, and instructional materials.Assess, monitor, record, and report students' academic progress using a variety of assessment methods.Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students.Foster critical thinking, problem-solving, communication, and entrepreneurial skills.Maintain a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment.Integrate technology effectively into teaching and learning.Provide academic support, mentoring, and guidance to students. Participate in departmental planning, curriculum development, staff meetings, school events, and professional development activities.Communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress and wellbeing.Uphold the school's safeguarding, child protection, and professional conduct policies.Foster a classroom environment that encourages creativity, confidence and collaborationDifferentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs and abilitiesPerform other duties assigned by the Principal or Head of Secondary School.PERSON SPECIFICATION:Qualifications and ExperienceA Bachelor's degree in Business Education, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.Master’s degree qualification in Business Education is preferred.Teaching certification in the Cambridge curriculum is desirable At least 5 years of teaching experience in the Cambridge IGCSE and A-level and a good track record of students' successes.Demonstrated success in preparing students for Cambridge IGCSE and AS & A Level examinations.Strong knowledge of current teaching methodologies and assessment practices.Excellent classroom management and communication skills.High level of ICT competence with the ability to integrate digital tools into teaching.A commitment to continuous professional development.Personal Qualities:Passionate about teaching and inspiring studentsPatient, empathetic, and supportive Highly organized and detail-oriented Creative and innovative in teaching approachesCollaborative and a team playerFlexible and adaptable in a dynamic school environmentApplication Process:Kindly submit your CV, a cover letter, certificate(s), a letter of recommendation from your current head, and contact details of two references who will be contacted if shortlisted.
