Requires a degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related field This is a full-time, on-site position based in Nairobi About the Role - Octagon Africa is seeking a proactive, results-driven Business Development Officer to drive business growth, identify new market opportunities, build strong client relationships, and support sales and marketing initiatives. ### Key Responsibilities - Identify and pursue new business opportunities to grow revenue and market share. - Execute sales, marketing, and digital marketing initiatives. - Build and maintain strong client relationships and improve customer retention. - Conduct market research, prepare business proposals, and deliver client presentations. - Support client onboarding, service delivery, and customer satisfaction. - Ensure compliance with company policies, risk management, and regulatory requirements. Qualifications - Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related field. - At least 3 years’ experience in business development, sales, marketing, or a related field. - A diploma in Insurance or Pensions is an added advantage. - Knowledge of financial services, retirement benefits schemes, or investment accounting is desirable. - Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Word. Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Solid understanding of pension schemes is desirable.
