Role Title: Business Development Officer
Job Summary
We are seeking a results-driven and proactive Business Development Officer to drive business growth, expand our corporate client portfolio, and cultivate strategic partnerships. The successful candidate will identify new market opportunities, manage end-to-end policy placement processes, and deliver technical insurance solutions tailored to commercial and corporate clients.
Key Responsibilities
Identify, target, and acquire new corporate, commercial, and institutional clients across key industry sectors.
Structure and present tailored insurance proposals, including Credit Protection Policies, Performance Bonds, Advance Payment Guarantees, C.A.R., and WIBA products.
Negotiate underwriting terms, policy conditions, and premium structures with leading insurance underwriters in Kenya.
Manage client relationships throughout the onboarding and policy lifecycle, ensuring prompt client support and high retention rates.
Conduct market research and regulatory analysis to identify emerging opportunities and ensure strict compliance with IRA requirements.
Collaboratively work with internal technical and compliance teams to ensure seamless policy issuance and claim support.
Qualifications & Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Insurance, Risk Management, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
Professional qualifications in insurance (e.g., ACII, AIIK, or Diploma in Insurance) are highly preferred.
5 to 10 years of experience in business development, corporate sales, or underwriting within an insurance brokerage or underwriting company in Kenya.
Strong understanding of corporate insurance products, bond placements, trade credit insurance, and IRA regulatory frameworks.
Excellent negotiation, communication, presentation, and client relationship management skills.
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding commercial targets.

Role Title: Insurance Agent / Sales Executive
Job Summary
We are looking for energetic, self-motivated, and target-driven Insurance Agents / Sales Executives to join our commercial sales team. In this role, you will be responsible for sourcing leads, presenting insurance solutions to individuals and businesses, closing sales, and driving revenue growth across personal and commercial lines.
Key Responsibilities
Actively prospect, generate leads, and set up sales meetings with prospective individual and corporate clients.
Present, promote, and sell a wide range of insurance products (including Motor, Medical, Property, WIBA, Public Liability, and General Commercial Insurance).
Assess clients' financial and risk protection needs and recommend appropriate coverages.
Assist clients through the quotation, documentation, and premium payment processes.
Maintain ongoing relations with clients to ensure timely policy renewals and cross-selling opportunities.
Serve as the primary contact for client queries and assist with initial claim reporting.
Qualifications & Requirements
Certificate of Proficiency (COP) in Insurance is required.
Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field is an added advantage.
Minimum of 5–10 years of experience in direct sales or agency operations within the Kenyan insurance sector.
Strong communication, persuasion, and interpersonal skills.
Target-oriented mindset with high self-discipline and motivation.
Active personal or professional network in Nairobi and surrounding areas.
