POSITIONAttendant 3 - Tool KeeperDEPARTMENTAsset Management & EngineeringLOCATIONGeita Gold Mine, TanzaniaEMPLOYMENT STATUSFull Time OBJECTIVE OF THE ROLE Assist HME with the handling and management of tool keeping while working closely with the supervisor and resource coordinators to support effective maintenance of resources. Support the issuing, receiving, inspection and planned auditing of tools, and prepare shift reports for submission to the supervisor. ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES Inspect tools for cracks, damage or defects and record findings accurately. Maintain daily tool database control and proper records of tools in the tool keeping room and tools issued to employees. Track and report tool shortages and maintain records of tools not returned or lost. Support effective tool issue and return processes to maintain resource availability. Maintain good housekeeping standards and meet work delivery deadlines within required timeframes. Observe all relevant safety requirements and carry out work as directed by supervisors. ROLE REQUIREMENTS Education & Qualification Certificate of Secondary School Education. Valid Tanzania Driving License. Certificate of Computer Knowledge. Epsom, Transec. Mantrac. Experience, Knowledge and Skills At least 2 years of experience as a tool keeper. Experience in the mining coordination industry will be an added advantage. Computer literacy will be an added advantage. Good written and oral communication skills in English and Kiswahili. Ability to show initiative and work well with the team. Ability to work as a team player and independently. Ability to build relationships with team members in functional departments. Commitment to safe work practices, including stopping unsafe work.
