About the Assistant Accountant Role The successful candidates will play a vital role in managing the company’s accounting functions with a focus on accuracy, compliance, and financial efficiency. You will independently handle accounting transactions, prepare vouchers using financial software, and ensure timely completion of monthly settlements and financial statements. Your
responsibilities
will also include managing creditor and debtor accounts, reviewing tax-related documents, and overseeing comprehensive tax declarations such as VAT, Income Tax, PAYE, and NAPSA.
Key Responsibilities
for Assistant Accountant Positions Prepare and process accounting vouchers accurately using financial software. Complete monthly financial settlements and issue detailed financial statements and analyses. Monitor creditor rights and debt items, implementing early warning systems for receivables. Review bills and validate tax-recognized documents. Manage overall tax declaration and compliance, including monthly, quarterly, and annual submissions. Optimize financial processes related to business operations and contribute to cost reduction and efficiency improvements. Oversee daily cashier and warehouse management activities. Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
and Experience Required Minimum Diploma in Accounting and Grade 12 School Certificate. At least one year of experience with general ledger management and tax processing. Strong familiarity with national accounting regulations, tax policies, and IFRS standards. Proven ability to handle month-end and year-end close processes effectively. Proficient in accounting software and MS Excel. Additional
