## Job Description

Medical Jobs, Tala Hospital Jobs. Responsible for providing anaesthesia services, assessing patients before surgery, administering and monitoring anaesthesia, managing patients during and after procedures, responding to emergencies, monitoring vital signs, managing pain, maintaining accurate clinical records, and supporting safe surgical care. Requires a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBChB) and postgraduate training or qualification in Anaesthesia, registration with the relevant professional body and a valid practising licence. The position is based in Machakos and requires on-site work.

### Key Responsibilities

- Conduct pre-anaesthetic assessments of patients and plan anaesthesia management.

- Administer various types of anaesthesia (general, regional, local, surgical, obstetric, and diagnostic procedures).

- Monitor patients’ vital signs continuously throughout procedures and manage any complications.

- Provide airway management, advanced life support in critical care, and manage post-operative pain/recovery.

- Collaborate with surgical and nursing teams and supervise/train junior anaesthesia personnel.

Qualifications

- Diploma in Clinical Medicine with an HND in Anaesthesia in Clinical Medicine (or equivalent recognized qualification).

- Minimum 3 years of experience as a practicing anaesthetist in a hospital setting.

- Current registration and valid license from the relevant medical council.

- Strong knowledge of pharmacology, physiology, and anaesthesia equipment.

- Excellent communication, interpersonal, teamwork skills, and ability to work under pressure in emergencies
