## Job Description

The Alliance of Bioversity International and CIAT is recruiting for a full-time, nationally recruited computer-vision and MLOps consultancy based at its office in Arusha, Tanzania (the vacancy also allows Nairobi, Kenya). The consultant will build and maintain image-data and machine-learning workflows for crop phenotyping: data preparation, model training and evaluation, deployment, monitoring, and integration with the ONA mobile, backend and cloud platform. The initial consultancy can run for up to 11 months, with possible extension. The employer states an estimated total consultancy amount of TZS 90,000,000 for the Tanzania position; this is a total contract estimate, not monthly or annual pay. ## Requirements

Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Software Engineering or a related field. Experience building and operating machine-learning workflows, including training, deployment, monitoring and versioning; strong Python and PyTorch or TensorFlow; cloud platforms such as GCP, AWS or Azure; computer-vision or image-based AI; containers and orchestration. The employer also asks for collaboration, clear communication and documentation; agriculture or digital-agriculture experience is an advantage. The job information labels experience as 6–10 years.
