Technical requirements:
Programming: Python (required), SQL (required), Golang (advantageous), Rust (advantageous), JavaScript /TypeScript (advantageous)Linux: Experience with Red Hat, BASH commands and scriptingClassical ML and deep learning fundamentalsLLMs (e.g. ChatGPT, Claude, open-source models)A good understanding of LLM architectures and transformer fundamentalsKnowledge grounding (RAG architectures)Azure (preferred), AWSDocker, CI/CD pipelinesProven experience delivering products or initiatives with measurable business valueExperience operating in financial services, insurance, or a regulated environmentReference number for this position is MAT61494 which is a permanent position based in Centurion offering a cost to company salary of up to R850k per annum depending on experience and ability.
