VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT
NICO Insurance Zambia Limited is seeking a suitably qualified and highly motivated individual to join the Finance Department as an Accounts Officer.
The successful candidate will support the Finance function through the preparation of reconciliations, maintenance of accounting records, processing of transactions, statutory reporting, and ensuring compliance with financial and regulatory requirements.
ACCOUNTS OFFICER
• Location: Head Office, Lusaka
• Department: Finance
• Key Responsibilities:
The Accounts Officer will be responsible for:
• Preparing and maintaining general ledger reconciliations and financial schedules.
• Processing accounting transactions and ensuring accurate posting to the relevant accounts.
• Performing bank reconciliations and monitoring cash transactions.
• Assisting with the preparation and submission of statutory and regulatory returns.
• Supporting month-end and year-end financial reporting processes.
• Maintaining data integrity through regular reconciliations and system checks.
• Assisting with audit processes and resolving audit queries.
• Ensuring compliance with internal controls, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Supporting the timely settlement of statutory obligations and other payments.
Qualifications and ExperienceApplicants should possess
• A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• ACCA, CIMA, CA Zambia or equivalent professional qualification (at least Part I completed).
• Membership with ZICA.
• A minimum of 1-2 years’ experience in a finance or accounting environment.
