## Job Description

Accounting Jobs. Progressive Credit Jobs. Accountant preparing financial reports and management accounts, completing reconciliations and maintaining loan portfolio accounting, requiring a bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Commerce, mandatory CPA(K) and 3-5 years relevant accounting experience, in a microfinance environment, on-site role.

### Key Responsibilities

- Prepare accurate financial reports (monthly, quarterly & annual).

- Ensure timely management accounts (5-10 working days after month-end).

- Complete bank, mobile money, loan portfolio and general ledger conciliations.

- Maintain accurate loan portfolio accounting (interest, fees, provisions & write-offs).

- Ensure regulatory & tax compliance.

- Support budgeting and variance analysis.

- Maintain strong internal controls.

- Assist with audits and ensure documentation is ready.

- Monitor cash flows and provide forecasts. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, Economics or related field. CPA(K) is mandatory.

- 3-5 years’ relevant accounting experience.

- Microfinance experience is an added advantage.
