Key Responsibilities
for Accountant Jobs in Chililabombwe Act as the primary liaison between Finance and HR departments for payroll processing matters. Collaborate closely with the Project HR Officer to ensure payroll inputs are accurate, complete, and submitted timely. Enter payroll data into the system, verify calculations, and generate detailed payroll reports. Upload approved payroll details into the banking system for payment execution. Distribute employee payslips promptly following payroll approval. Prepare monthly payroll reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies efficiently. Manage final settlements for departing employees in compliance with company policies and statutory regulations. Prepare and submit statutory returns and payments including PAYE, SDL, NAPSA, NHIMA, and Personal Levy before deadlines. Onboard new employees onto the payroll system after approval of engagement forms. Update payroll records to reflect promotions, demotions, or other employment status changes. Participate in quarterly internal audits and implement recommendations to improve processes.
Qualifications
and Experience Diploma or Degree in Accounting, or a professional accounting qualification such as CA, ACCA, or CIMA. Active membership with the Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountants (ZICA), minimum Technician Membership. Relevant accounting experience is advantageous. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and openness to learning new accounting software. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment. Capacity to perform under pressure and meet strict deadlines. Demonstrated integrity and meticulous attention to detail.
