Job description

Key purpose of role To manage and execute financial and accounting processes in alignment with company policies and regulatory requirements, ensuring accurate reporting, effective cost control, and compliance with financial risk and audit standards. The role supports the broadcasting business by providing timely and reliable financial insights to enable sound decision-making. Key performance areas Financial performance: Analyse financial data to assist management with decision makingAnalyse and submit management accounts monthly and report on variancesAssist with the review and amendment of finance related policiesContribute towards ad hoc insurance related mattersApproval of prize winners on prizes systemReview of AP invoice/cashbook processing and reconciliationFacilitate and complete month-end proceduresPreparing of intercompany invoicesProcessing of general ledger JournalsPreparing schedules as required by managementPreparing and clearing of balance sheet reconciliationsVat calculation and submissionAddress all admin and finance related queriesAssist with other assigned projectsCognos reportingFixed assets: Fixed asset management on SAGEPeriodic asset verification in line with annual verification planWIP managementMonitoring of asset useful lives and reassessmentBudgets and forecasts: Contribute towards the compilation of budgets and forecastingEvent budget management and reportingUploading of budgets/forecasts onto CognosMonitoringBEE: Manage preferential procurement and update information for reporting purposesBEE maintenanceAssisting with query resolution in relation to annual BEE auditCash flow management: Manage cash flow to achieve cash conversion targetsManagement of petty cash processAudit: Facilitate and complete year-end proceduresAdequately respond to all audit related queriesMonitoring of audit submissionsEnsuring valid, accurate and complete financial information resulting in insignificant audit findingsPreparing tax pack schedulesCognos reporting and resolution of related audit queries

Requirements
