Medical Jobs. Pearl Hospital Jobs. Registered Nurse providing comprehensive nursing care to patients, requiring a Diploma or Degree in Nursing with valid registration and practising licence with the Nursing Council of Kenya, in a healthcare environment, on-site role in Laikipia County.

Job Summary

- Pearl Hospital is a Level 4 multi-specialty hospital in Laikipia County. Guided by our values of Quality, Efficiency, Professionalism, and Compassion, we are seeking a Registered Nurse to provide safe, efficient, and patient-centered nursing care. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with doctors and other healthcare professionals to ensure quality patient care and excellent service delivery.

### Key Responsibilities

- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in accordance with established clinical standards.

- Assess patients, monitor vital signs, and promptly report changes in their condition.

- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.

- Assist doctors and other healthcare professionals during procedures and examinations.

- Prepare patients for investigations, procedures, admission, and discharge.

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and nursing documentation.

- Observe and implement infection prevention and control measures.

- Educate patients and their relatives on treatment, medication, health promotion, and discharge instructions.

- Respond appropriately to emergencies and provide immediate nursing interventions.

- Ensure proper handling, storage, and accountability of medications and medical supplies.

- Maintain patient confidentiality and uphold professional nursing ethics.

- Participate in ward rounds, handovers, and multidisciplinary team meetings.

- Ensure the nursing station and patient care areas are clean, safe, and well organised.

- Provide compassionate care and maintain a positive patient experience.

- Perform any other duties assigned by the Nurse in Charge or management.

Qualifications & Requirements

- Diploma or Degree in Nursing from a recognised institution.

- Valid registration and practising licence with the Nursing Council of Kenya (NCK).

- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification will be an added advantage.

- Atleast 5 years of clinical experience will be an added advantage.

- Good knowledge of nursing procedures, infection prevention, and patient safety.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work effectively under pressure and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

- Willingness to work shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays
